When I received the text the baby was going to be born on the 13th, my heart jumped and I praised God, not on is it my Dad's birthday, I have a birthday on a 13th as well as my best friend! Lucky number, right?
Well, no baby today. I am not sure where our little Mississippi Girl got the 13th from, but now we are told Monday the 16th! We are a bit nervous and curious if this will be the day or not! You find yourself asking questions, should of, would of but we can not do that, it is what it is!
This morning we had a great meeting with Social Worker that we have been in contact with! The southern accent here is amazing! Brynn is thinking she can do it quite well! The SW, Mark, Brynn, Bradyn and myself met Ms.R for lunch at the Olive Garden. We had a wonderful lunch talked about the expectations, and how Monday will go! We asked for proof of some sort of the scheduled CSection for Monday. Needless to say, the Dr's are out of the office on Friday's by 3, so we have no proof! URG!
It is hard to not be upset, confused, nervous and out of sorts. We had our minds that today was the day, and now Monday(LORD willing)!
I want to tell our Friends and Family thank you so much for the prayers and the text messages, and emails! Mark spent time on the phone with our SW's(Deanne and Heidi) and Pastor Mark! I don't know what we would do with out their kind words, encouragement and love to us!
We are waiting till Monday to see if this will be the day. In the mean time maybe Ms. R will go into labor on her own and we won't have to wait and see!
My pregnancies where not rosie, but this is far from rosie by any means!
Tomorrow we are going to have some fun! Hopefully we will be all caught up on sleep! Brynn told me I have Grandma eyes! I have my Grandmother's puffy eyes!

Thoughts......
Mark, Bradyn, Brynn and I all made it safely to Hattiesburg! We left home around 5:00pm on Wednesday, and pulled into Hattiesburg around noon on Thursday. It was a long ride, Mark and I took turns driving. The funniest part of the trip was we stopped at a IHOP to eat breakfast yesterday morning, and I guess I was tired, I walked out of the restroom, and thought it was funny there was a urinal in a women's restroom. Tell I figured out, I was in the wrong one! OH BOY!
We got settled in to our room and Mark slept, and the kids swam, but I could not sleep and my emotions were flying.
Our Social Worker was unable to make it to our meeting with R, she was with a birth mom in New Orleans. I talked with R and decided we would meet at the mall, on the way to the mall we noticed we are only blocks from the hospital! :) We got to the mall got a few snacks and diet coke, I noticed R right away, and she is a beautiful young lady! She has a little girl who is 2 1/2 and she is a doll! Brynn fell in love with her. We walked around the mall for sometime, hoping the DR would call and tell her what time she needed to be at the hospital. It was around 4:40 and I was thinking it is quite strange she did not have it all in place on the time, and what needed to be done in the morning! We decided to go eat, we met at a steak house down from our hotel. By than my guts where rolling and the no sleep/no food/high emotions where flooding my heart! I couldn't even eat.
We left the restaurant and departed. We all jumped in bed and slept. My heart was so sad, we traveled 18 hours and we do not know when the csection is! ugh!
This morning she has a Dr appt. and the SW is with her. WE need to know what is going on!
The kids are swimming with Mark, while I ask for prayers. So many thoughts are flying through my brain! I miss my older boys, and we can not stay here and enjoy Hattiesburg, while the boys are home.
Today is my Dad's Birthday, Happy Birthday DAD! Sunday is baptism for Jacoby! We will post more when we know.
Last night I layed in bed, and as I prayed so many verses of God's love flowed through my head!
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;

As I sit here, still no phone call!
This crazy journey of ours!!
I am so thankful God is in control!!

Picture Perfect
Our Family just got back from Vacation with Mark's Family! Grandpa arranges the vacation and makes all the arrangements. This year we went later, and the college girls where unable to go, and Mark's brother and family could not go. It was nice to get away to warmer weather, but oh did I miss the ones who could not come! :(

God is amazing! We have always known that during our adoption of Marcus, that His hand has been guiding, protecting and giving us peace as we wait.
Here is Joni with Marcus! Joni's Blog is -> over on the blog list! Joni lives a few miles from Marcus's Orphanage! She works with Samaritan's Purse and grew up in Sioux County! What a small world!! Joni had a fantastic letter, telling us all about Marcus, his friends, and Mother Wleh! We are so excited for her to go back and visit, and play soccor with Marcus and his friends!
His first real smile we have seen!!!

As far as an update of how much longer, or when Marcus will come home. We have no clue! Our Agency has not been approved, and Liberia is accepting 12 Agencies. We know Liberia is starting to process those adoptions that where in the process, and had decrees. We are praying that we have a decree but where told most likely not.
Our Agency is trying to find out if we can proceed, or have to wait for the Agencies that are accepted!
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7
We are so thankful for Joni, her willingness to go serve in another country, and to go and Bless us and the children in the Orphanage! Praise God!

A Glimpse of Hope!!!
Mark & I are getting a glimpse of hope......we are not trying to get to excited, just hopeful!
Our Director is back from Liberia! :) She met Marcus! She said he is very sweet, and very quiet! When/if he does come home, the poor child is going to be surprised how much his brothers and sister talk! He loved our little cars we sent! What 3 year old boy don't like match box cars!! She has pictures! We are SO excited to see them.
We have heard some rumblings about some good things that are starting to happen!

An important working symposium on the Children's Bill will be held in Liberia in two weeks on November 13-14, and it's important that as many people as possible pray for the event.I am extremely excited that it has been planned and will involve primarily Liberians who are concerned that the laws and policies of their country are shaped to protect the best interests of their children.Here is part of the text from an invitation I received for the event:Sponsored by: The Foundation for Human Rights (FOHRD)The Catholic Justice and Peace Commission (JPC) and The Child Protection Alliance of Liberia (CPAL) Co-Sponsored by: The Liberia Council of Churches, National Muslim Council of Liberia, Liberia Democratic Institute – (LDI), Female Lawyers Association of Liberia – (AFLL) In Association with: Adoption Services Providers; Child Advocacy International; National Union of Liberian Orphanages and Children Welfare Institute; Children Assistance Program; Mano River Women Network for Peace; Liberian Girls Guide Association; Boy Scouts of Liberia; Liberia National Student Union; Varsity Christian Fellowship; Christian Health Association of Liberia; Young Men’s Christian Association; Young Women’s Christian Association.The symposium is a two day interactive roundtable discussion intended to discuss and dialogue on the Liberian Children’s Bill. Principally, the symposium will aim at ensuring that the evolving Children’s Law serves the best interest of the Liberian child. The event will bring together, legislators, policymakers, child rights advocates, Supreme Court Justices, religious leaders, parents and children services providers mainly for the purpose of: a) critically reviewing the draft children bill; b) providing advice to legislators on the rethinking and rewording of specific aspects of the bill that may not be in the best interest of the Liberian child; and c) adopting concrete action programs that will facilitate the scrupulous implementation of the bill when it is passed into law.Speakers at the symposium will share insights and experiences as well as address the most pressing challenges facing the Liberian Child. Following the deliberations, participants will convene in group sessions and work out recommendations and suggestions to strengthen the children’s Bill and educate and advice legislators on the thinking of a broad spectrum of the Liberian society regarding the draft bill.
I do know that many people who are influential in what happens to children in Liberia will be in attendance. A piece of the discussion will involve adoptions as it is part of the Children's Bill. The hope is that by the end of the symposium a much stronger version of the bill will be ready for Liberian legislators to vote on when they reconvene in January.As with every attempt to improve care for Liberian children, there has been and will continue to be a lot of spiritual warfare going on surrounding the planning and carrying out of this event. If any of you would like to coordinate group pray efforts, it would be a great way to fight for the children.
