MAY 21, 2008

6 years ago today our eyes seen this picture.
Our hearts gushed, our love grew.

6 years later, our hearts still gush, and our love continues..

The cutest little jumper! :)

He still is living across the ocean, in a country so very different that ours. We praise God for this past year of some changes for this beautiful boy we call our son.  The changes are ones that will help him to grow, grow more in Christ's love for him, school, a bed, food, medical and loving care givers who live for the Lord.

Someday, hmmm, someday, Lord willing we will bring him home, to our home.  For now, we love him, pray for him, and leave him in God's hands.
He is not the only one, so many children over the world are needing a home, a forever home where a Mom & Dad can give them what every child deserves.
If you have not see the documentary STUCK, I encourage you to look for it, watch it. Pray for those who are making a difference in the orphans all over the world.

I just seen this on a friends post on Facebook… Thanks Christy,

We will continue to love, pray and call you our Son….

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.” John 15:9-10
To our Little Guy,
Who would of thought we would be stuck, 6 years later.  When we first seen your brown eyes 6 years ago, your big long eyelashes, your dirty little fingers, I never in my craziest dreams did I ever imagine our family would be praying you home yet.  Your dad and I told our SW and our agency that we would be interested in a country that was swift, a country that would not take us both out of the county for a longer than 2 weeks. We pressed forward until we got word of prepare for travel…..than the country shut down all adoptions.
Now 6 years later, the country is still closed,  our love for you has not changed. I think they have strengthen, in a way of trusting God, trusting others, and relying on the good ole staying, "there is a reason", or "God's timing not ours".  I am not sure how those words really go together, because they both makes sense but hurt the heart and mind to the core.
Our hearts break, knowing you had some big changes this past year. It has not been easy knowing you have a family many miles away, that do not come to get you. How can a little boy really grasp at the thought of the government is making differences. Good changes to help all little ones looking for a family.
Our prayer is that you continue to grow in the Love of Jesus Christ, learn how to read and write, respect those who are helping you. Our prayer for safety, health, and friendships that will encourage you to grow up to be a good man.
Every day, several times a day, I wonder what your doing, what your thinking, who is telling you what a wonderful little boy you are, how your malaria is acting, and that a family many miles away loves you.
Your brothers and sister pray for you also, many friends and family also pray. Your very special to a lot of people!
May your heart be filled with Christ's love for you and know, we love you and pray for you often.
Love, Your Momma and Your Family
