Orphan Sunday

Orphan Sunday, November 8, 2009!

What a day to sit and reflect on the Orphan's around the world!
This really hits home for our family!
Marcus...Marcus comes from a line of Orphans. We know very little of his short little life, but we do know that this is his family. How sad is that!

I am praying that we can do something in church to remember all the children in waiting!

Here is another site:

Last night I finished up stuff to send to Marcus! This last 4 months, God has been so good in finding ways to send Marcus some clothes, shoes, more vitamins, itch cream, band aids, triple anti-biotic, books, candy, Tylenol, rubber bands for the girls, socks, Iowa Hawkeye t-shirt, and a photo album of life in Iowa! I know all the children benefit from this care package! That is what is it meant for! Got a cute card for Marcus also! Not sure if he really understands who we are yet! Grandpa and Grandma A, sent a book, card and the tiger! I know our Agency's Director said she said keep it small! How hard that is!

Of course Zoey had to get on the picture! :)

4 Sing to God, sing praise to his name,
extol him who rides on the clouds [a]—
his name is the LORD—
and rejoice before him.
5 A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows,
is God in his holy dwelling.
6 God sets the lonely in families, [b]
he leads forth the prisoners with singing;
but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.
(Psalm 68:4-6)

Prayer Requests:

Please continue to pray for those in Liberia!

For our Agency as our Director travels in October.

Those who are waiting! (Don't you just think of that song!?)

Orphan Sunday!

God stirs hearts for adoption!
