HOW HOT CAN IT GET IN IOWA?

It is so hot here!  The heat index is around 110 degrees! Needless to say, our dogs(the outdoor ones) have been having time in my beauty shop, where it is nice and cool, and I only do a few haircuts for family!

Here is the cutest picture of Beau at his last home game!! Brody was so excited to see Beau!

Baseball is all done! :( It is crazy how we piles in so many games in 6 weeks! Beau is now officially done with high school!  I should maybe count how many there where, but I think I best not! Beau had his last baseball game friday night!  Beau had a great year, and I will miss watching and cheering him on!

Benjamin & Brynn

Yesterday Benjamin took of to Kansas City for work camp with our church youth group and the area Reformed Churches in the Midwest. Oh was he excited! Wednesday - Friday the groups will be working on needs of the community. Friday - Sunday tons of JH kids will be meeting together to praise the Lord!! We are so excited for him! Beau went and had a blast. In fact 2 years ago when he attended he came home and said, "we need to adopt!". Who would of ever thought we would still be enduring this challenge!
Our church was fortunate to have another church invite them to share a their church bus! With our church being a country church, friends where anxiously waiting to grab seats together. It was so cool to share a group prayer with both youth groups. Pastor Mark had a prayer with our youth sponsors and youth group also!!

Pastor Mark had to have a little talk with Benjamin before he left! :) Benjamin loves to fun, and I am sure, he is keeping everyone smiling! (At least I hope so!)
Brynn is finally getting her summer fun in. A couple weeks ago she had swimming lessons. Kiley has turned her into a little fish. This little girl who would not get her head wet is constantly jumping into the pool, swimming, floating and trying to dive. It is so fun to see how much they can learn with 1/2 an hour class for 5 days. :)

This week Brynn started T-ball camp!

Tomorrow we are going to get Brynn measured for the wedding. It is so excited to think of Brynn and her cousin Addi being flower girls for Aunt Julie!

Saturday Night is a picnic for those who, are or are interested in adoption.

Last year we went and had a fantastic time. This year we have something and will not be able to attend. It is so wonderful to see what and how God has brought all these beautiful children from all over the world into loving, christian families. God is good!

Colossians 1:10-12
And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.

Blessing's to all!

Baseball, Update & Prayer Requests

Baseball.....Nighthawks.....
Sub-State
Tuesday Night 7pm
Good Luck Nighthawks!!

Beau played 1st base for the JV this summer.
The high school team is doing so well this year, and
tomorrow night the Varsity plays a sub state game!
We will all be cheering the Nighthawks on for a victory!
Update:
This waiting is getting to be so long! Next month will be 2 years when we started the process. I have to admit, I never thought it would take this long. We were told the Liberia program is a swift moving program. As you can see/read...it has been a long wait. We are the only ones at our agency going to Liberia(the Lord willing!). As we wait, you tend to find yourself thinking is this really going to happen, is this little boy really part of our family?
God has been so evident with leading some wonderful people into our lives than can help us, reach out to Marcus.
A couple weeks ago we found out that a lady was going to visit family, although she was going to Sierra Leone, her sister is from Liberia and would be willing to get a package to Marcus! :)
Than this past week, a fellow adoptive Mom is traveling to Liberia to continue to work on the orphanage her 2 boys are at. Kami is also taking a package for Marcus. This package is a baggie full of birthday stuff! Marcus will be able to celebrate with his "family" at the orphanage! Pin the tail on the donkey, colors, fun pads, balloons, candy, Happy Birthday sign, and a birthday card from us!
We have continued to pray for all the children in all the Orphanages.. all over the world!
Prayer Requests:
~Liberian Government to get a movin!:) (Give us families some HOPE!)
~Children in Orphanages
~Couples waiting for Referrals! :)
~Court Dates for families
~Kami and those who are traveling to Liberia!..praying for safety, health, and all the children you will be seeing, and bringing gifts to our little ones!
~My dear friend visiting family in Mexico!
~Guatemala Government..bring R & J home!
Ephesians 5:19-20
Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
